Summer 2026 tender

Overview of requirements
Our Summer 2026 tender asks flexibility providers for 779 MW of flexibility in 217 locations across Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester between 2026-28, with over £14m revenue available for the provision of these services.
This procurement round is taking place on ElectronConnect. Flexibility service providers (FSPs) can visit the platform at any time to complete company qualification and register assets. ElectronConnect offers an end-to-end solution for providers to participate, from registration and qualification all the way through to dispatch and settlement.

Interactive flexibility map
Our summer 2026 requirements can also be viewed on our new interactive flexibility map on our data portal, which visually depicts all active Constraint Management Zones (CMZs). You can enter your postcode directly into the tool to instantly view whether your asset location falls within an eligible CMZ.
Low voltage (LV) requirements
As part of this tender, we are procuring 4MW of LV flexibility across 141 different locations in the North West, helping to facilitate the growth of residential flexibility and energy efficiency markets, and fulfilling our obligations as a neutral market facilitator. These requirements can be offered and delivered via two different types of flexibility products (services): Peak Reduction and Scheduled Utilisation. How to take part
- Create an account on ElectronConnect.
- Submit your commercial qualification application by 31 July 2026. View our Commerical Qualification document for guidance on criteria and example answers.
- Sign our standard framework agreement, utilised by all UK DNOs.
- Register your assets.
- Complete technical qualification by 21 August 2026 by confirming the assets you wish to put forward in the competition.
- We will then assess the capability of your asset(s) to meet the requirements of this tender, and if successful, you will be able to submit a bid for the provision of flexibility services during the bidding window in July on your chosen platform.
- We will assess all bids and notify successful participants via Electron Connect.
